From photographing a new piece to having it valued and insured — Secarto guides you through every step and there are help and hints in the app on each page.
Photograph your art
Open Secarto and tap the + button to add a new piece. Photograph the artwork directly or upload from your library. Our artwork identification system will be developed over time to match the piece against gallery records and pull in details like artist, title, and medium automatically. Review, edit, or enter details manually at any time.
Build your portfolio
Add artist, title, medium, dimensions, provenance, and attach documentation like certificates of authenticity - upload these directly from your artwork page if you have them. Your portfolio is filterable — view all pieces, or filter by valued and insured status. The portfolio summary shows total works and estimated value at a glance and helps you track valuations.
Get a valuation
Request a professional valuation from your gallery for any piece from its detail screen. Secarto connects you with qualified valuers who assess your artwork and provide a formal valuation. Track status per piece — pending, in progress, or completed — and see how your portfolio's value changes over time. The valuation certificate will appear automatically in your Secarto vault and will, once connected, make insuring and claiming simple and assured.
Insure your portfolio
Once valued, protect your artwork with specialist art insurance. Secarto introduces you to insurance providers who cover fine art — we handle the connection so you get appropriate coverage. Your insurance status will be tracked so you can see at a glance what's covered, see coverage totals and get expiration reminders when needed.
